Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily operations across guest rooms and public areas, reporting to the Executive Housekeeper. You will oversee teams, ensure cleanliness, and maintain brand standards, including training and guest satisfaction.

The role requires vocational hotel training, strong German and English, good PMS knowledge, and a flexible stance for weekend/holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in the hotel industry and first experience in Housekeeping.
• Good computer skills, ideally with a PMS knowledge.
• Communication skills – guests may bring complaints or feedback and you should be approachable.
• High quality awareness, excellent manners and well-groomed appearance.
• Open-mindedness, sense of responsibility and team spirit.
• Organizational skills, resilience and flexibility – weekends/holidays.
• Very good knowledge of German and English.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Executive Housekeeper in their absence.
• Allocate and coordinate teams across shifts.
• Manage projects and administrative tasks.
• Organize a smooth shift flow independently.
• Train and coach housekeeping staff.
• Inspect rooms and public areas.
• Ensure hygiene and brand standards are met.
• Note guest preferences and anticipate needs for a memorable experience.
• Handle guest complaints.
