Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern is seeking a Sales Manager to join our Sales & Marketing team. Based at the palace, you will drive sales strategies, forecast performance, and represent the hotel at trade fairs and client meetings in a luxury market.

You will build strong relationships with key accounts, coordinate with leaders, and plan initiatives to grow market share while maintaining the highest standards of service and brand integrity.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in the sales department of a hotel
• Very good network at regional, national or international level
• Expressiveness, open-mindedness and team spirit
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• High quality awareness and a sense for trends
• Good computer knowledge
• Excellent manners towards guets, clients, colleagues and superiors; always taking into account intercultural aspects
• Well‑groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma
• Resilience and flexibility - your position will include business trips
• Car driving license
• Very good knowledge of German and English. Additional foreign language skills are an advantage

Responsibilities

• Creating and evaluating monthly reports and sales forecasts to identify current/potential market and sales trends
• Coordinating activities to increase sales and market share and monitoring performance to ensure sales are on or above planWorking closely and interacting with business leaders, officials and representatives of local clubs and associations to ensure a consistently high presence of the hotel.
• Developing and maintaining good business relationships with important customers and external contacts, ensuring permanent market and competition monitoring
• Marketing effective sustainable aspects of the hotel and using the relevant information when acquiring new customers
• Representing the hotel at trade fairs, road shows and internal events
• Planning with the approval of the Director of Marketing and Commercial Strategy and carrying this out autonomously or with the Regional Sales Office
• Promoting notoriety and reputation of our hotel and our brand
