Job summary

Aequitec Ltd. is seeking a legal operator intern to support corporate law and action processing. The role focuses on onboarding customers, gathering requirements, and translating client data into the software suite.

You will work remotely with occasional visits to the Zurich area for workshops and customer meetings. The program offers potential to convert to a working student role and to write a bachelor’s or master’s thesis with us.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a degree in Swiss/EU Law.
• Demonstrates ownership, ambition and pro bono or voluntary work.
• Strong interest in finance, legal tech and corporate governance.

Responsibilities

As a legal operator intern at Aequitec, your mission is to fulfil the exceptionally high standards of our customers, e.g., board presidents, CEOs, CFOs, corporate secretaries and assistants.

At Aequitec, you will:

• Join our Aequitec team as a legal operator for up to 3 months, e.g. from November 1st until January 31st. Additionally and optionally, if you excel in your role, we offer the opportunity to convert to a working student job and offer to write your bachelor's or master's thesis with us. Our CEO has acted as 2nd supervisor of past employees. Past student employees have also converted to full-time employees.
• Participate in customer calls with members of the founder and CEO for onboarding customers, administering on our platform and collecting structured customer requirements for product development.
• Take entrepreneurial ownership for customer happiness, e.g., pick up smaller client requests and grow into the full‑scale relationship management with existing clients.
• Enjoy the delights of client interaction on a very frequent basis.
• Translate unstructured information of client data into our software suite.
• Support in the execution of AGMs on the client's side.
• Work together in a diverse team with various cultural backgrounds and life experiences.

Qualifikation

• Having fun working at a rapidly growing Fin- and LegalTech company in Zurich with a great team.
• Being fast in Microsoft Excel.
• Taking ownership of your own career by leveraging the trust given to you working in your home office, e.g. for parallel studies.
• Learning directly from the founder and CEO and sharing your experience with everyone on the team.
• Becoming a domain‑specific expert in the field of corporate finance, corporate governance and legal document engineering.
• Collecting and structuring customer requirements for improving the Aequitec product along the customer journey at every point in time.
• Scaling and growing a company in an agile framework, i.e., using techniques such as Scrum or Kanban for efficiently capturing client demands and feedback.
• Motivation to learn about new technologies and toolkits in the broad context of finance, legal and software engineering.
• Educational background: You are currently studying for a degree in Swiss / EU Law, e.g, ZHAW SML or completed a practical education for corporate housekeeping, e.g., as paralegal or notary assistant.
• Personal background: You have (1) a strong entrepreneurial mindset and (2) a motivation inflow from voluntary commitments, e.g., working for a local parliament, sports club or any other pro bono commitment. (3) Team sports is a big plus.
• Language skills: Fluent in Swiss German & English is a must, French would be a big plus.

• One of the first team members of a Legal and FinTech that scales from Switzerland into EMEA region.
• Work 40 - 80 percent, have flexible working hours, and be able to work mainly remotely, except for customer visits and team workshops in the Zurich area, in line with Swiss tax regulations.
• Work with a passionate and experienced team with educational backgrounds from NYU, HSG, ETH and relevant work experiences at investment and corporate banks as well as stock exchanges, with diverse interests such as the outdoors, watching and playing team sports, and (board) games.
• Have a huge chance to get to know exciting clients, their enterprises and their success stories.
• Take part in company offsites and regular team activities.
