Zusammenfassung

Hitachi, Ltd. in Zürich seeks a Continuous Improvement Manager to drive operational excellence on the shop floor. You will partner with factory leaders to identify opportunities, remove bottlenecks, and lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives across the value chain.

You’ll coach teams, lead Kaizen events, and promote a culture of continuous improvement with a hands-on, data-driven approach. Travel to factories (min. 20%) is part of the role, while collaboration spans cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Process Engineering in manufacturing; factory experience mandatory.
• Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred.
• Proven leadership of Kaizen Events, Gemba activities, process mapping, and value stream analysis.

Aufgaben

• Act as a trusted Continuous Improvement advisor to Factory/Operations leadership, driving data-driven analyses and optimization initiatives.
• Identify bottlenecks, remove constraints, improve flow, and enhance end-to-end value stream performance.
• Lead Kaizen Events and Rapid Improvement Workshops to deliver fast, sustainable results.
• Train, coach, and mentor employees in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and certification programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to map and optimize end-to-end processes.
• Deploy Lean principles, standardization, and benchmarking across sites.
• Monitor KPIs and communicate improvement results to ensure measurable impact.
• Travel regularly to support factories (minimum 20%).
