Lonza in Visp, Switzerland, is seeking a Laboratory Technician (all genders) to join its analytical Quality Control laboratory. You will perform routine analyses of biopharmaceuticals using HPLC and capillary electrophoresis, contributing to a dynamic GMP-regulated environment.

Work will involve operating SOPs, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with an international team while developing expertise and taking ownership of projects. English fluency is required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Apprenticeship as laboratory technician, CTA, or BSc in Chemistry/Biochemistry or similar education.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC is highly preferred.
• Work experience in a GMP environment in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is a plus.
• Fluency in English; German is an additional advantage.

Your primary responsibilities will revolve around conducting routine analysis of biopharmaceuticals using HPLC and capillary electrophoresis techniques. This role offers a lot of variety with many different projects and a wide variety of HPLC techniques (e.g. RP, SEC) and many different HPLC detectors (e.g. UV, fluorescence), as well as capillary electrophoresis (CE-SDS and icIEF).

What you will do

What you-ll do perform analytical methods in line with SOPs, GMP and safety rules, specifically focusing on HPLC analyses adhere to quality guidelines and perform both practical laboratory work and essential administrative tasks, including detailing results and crafting work instructions. support laboratory maintenance (equipment responsibility) and ensure that the laboratory is clean and tidy maintain a close cooperation with shift workers

What we-re looking for

• Apprenticeship as laboratory technician, CTA, BSc in Chemistry /Biochemistry or similar education
• Hands-on experience with HPLC is highly preferred
• Work experience in a GMP environment in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is a plus
• You are conscientious, structured and responsible and you are able to adjust in a flexible manner to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
• Fluency in English, German is an additional advantage
