Zusammenfassung

Lonza Visp, Switzerland, is seeking a Laboratory Technician for our analytical Quality Control laboratory in Visp. You will conduct routine analyses of biopharmaceuticals using HPLC, supporting a wide range of methods (RP, SEC, AEX) and detectors.

You will join a vibrant, international team, adhere to GMP and SOPs, handle practical lab work and documentation, maintain equipment, and collaborate across shifts.

Qualifikationen

  • Apprenticeship in laboratory techniques or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC is required.
  • GMP environment experience is a plus.

Aufgaben

  • Perform analytical methods in line with SOPs, GMP and safety rules, focusing on HPLC analyses.
  • Document results and craft work instructions; support lab maintenance.
  • Ensure the laboratory is clean and maintained; assist with equipment responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with shift workers to ensure smooth operation.

Are you ready to take on the role of Laboratory Technician in our analytical Quality Control laboratory, located in the breathtaking Visp? Join our groundbreaking laboratory that boasts brand-new technology and instruments, and collaborate with a vibrant and international team. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around conducting routine analysis of biopharmaceuticals using HPLC. This role offers a lot of variety with many different projects and a wide variety of HPLC techniques (e.g. RP, SEC, AEX) and many different HPLC detectors (e.g. UV, fluorescence, light scattering, refrective index).

What You’ll Do
  • Join our Quality Control team and perform analytical methods in line with SOPs, GMP and safety rules, specifically focusing on HPLC analyses
  • You adhere to quality guidelines and perform both practical laboratory work and essential administrative tasks, including detailing results and crafting work instructions.
  • At the same time, you support laboratory maintenance (equipment responsibility) and ensure that the laboratory is clean and tidy
  • The varied responsibilities also include close cooperation with shift workers
What We’re Looking For
  • Apprenticeship as laboratory technician, CTA, BSc in Chemistry /Biochemistry or similar education
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC is a must
  • Work experience in a GMP environment in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is a plus
  • You are conscientious, structured and responsible and you are able to adjust in a flexible manner to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Fluency in either English OR German is required (preferably with basic language skills in the respective other language and the willingness to learn/improve the other language in case you are not yet fluent in both)
