Mercor is seeking a detail-oriented Korean annotator to build training data for document AI. You will identify and bound all meaningful regions on Korean PDFs, transcribe in Hangul, and ensure accurate reading order across complex layouts. Collaboration with a second Korean expert is required for end-to-end review.

Applicants should be native Korean speakers with experience in transcription, annotation, or bilingual editorial work. Quality and consistency are essential for this role.

Qualifikationen

• Native Korean speaker with Hangul mastery and hanja recognition where present.
• Experience in bilingual transcription, translation, editorial work, or AI training data preferred.
• Extremely accurate work; character-level correctness required.
• Systematic, taxonomy-based approach across hundreds of pages.
• Comfort with unfamiliar layouts: multi-column documents and varied formats.

Aufgaben

• Source publicly accessible Korean PDFs containing multimodal elements and record source details.
• Annotate structure: bound each meaningful region and assign type and reading-order index.
• Record relationships: link regions to their parent figure or table.
• Transcribe faithfully: reproduce all text exactly in Hangul, flag illegible regions.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, page dimensions, handwriting/table/ formula flags.
• Review a colleague's work: second expert review of each task.
