Job summary

Swissquote is hiring a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-native and non-AI-native applications for professional and institutional partners. You will own full lifecycle from backend to UX, collaborating with Product Owner and Sales teams to modernize legacy solutions with inhouse AI capabilities.

The role emphasizes scalable microservices, APIs (REST/GraphQL), containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), and secure, compliant fintech software.

Qualifications

• Production-grade software development experience.
• Strong Java programming skills.
• Knowledge of scalable architectures including microservices, APIs (REST, GraphQL).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging systems (RabbitMQ).
• Knowledge of Git and Linux environments.
• Experience with testing frameworks (TestNG, Selenium).
• Hands-on with LLMs and AI application development.
• Banking/fintech experience is a plus.
• Fluent English; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AI and non-AI generated-code applications using coding agents such as ClaudeCode.
• Collaborate across all stages of software development with diverse teams.
• Contribute to technical choices, conduct code reviews and testing.
• Ensure high standards of code quality and best practices.
• Work with product owners to architect qualitative solutions and enhance product functionality and UX.
• Provide support on applications to guarantee client satisfaction.
• Participate in or drive complex projects with minimal oversight.
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and governance requirements in a regulated financial environment.
