Job summary

Swissquote Bank is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-native and non-AI applications. You will own the full lifecycle from backend services to user experience, collaborating with Product Owner, Strategy and Sales to modernize legacy solutions with in-house AI.

Responsibilities include building AI-powered and traditional software, code reviews, ensuring security and governance, and delivering features iteratively in a regulated financial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience developing production-grade software.
• Strong Java and modern software development frameworks.
• Knowledge of scalable architectures including microservices, APIs, containers, and messaging systems.
• Source control with Git.
• Familiar with Linux, Docker, Jenkins, Tomcat and databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis).
• Familiar with test-driven development: Jbehave, TestNG, Selenium.
• Hands-on with LLMs, prompt engineering and AI apps.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in banking/fintech is a plus.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AI and non-AI generated-code applications using coding agents.
• Collaborate across all stages of software development from ideation to deployment.
• Contribute to technical choices, conduct code reviews and testing.
• Ensure high standards of code quality and continuously improve best practices.
• Work with product owners to architect qualitative solutions and enhance product functionality.
