Zusammenfassung

Swissquote is hiring a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-native and non-AI-native applications for professional and institutional partners. You will own full lifecycle from backend to UX, collaborating with Product Owner and Sales teams to modernize legacy solutions with inhouse AI capabilities.

The role emphasizes scalable microservices, APIs (REST/GraphQL), containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), and secure, compliant fintech software.

Qualifikationen

• Production-grade software development experience.
• Strong Java programming skills.
• Knowledge of scalable architectures including microservices, APIs (REST, GraphQL).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging systems (RabbitMQ).
• Knowledge of Git and Linux environments.
• Experience with testing frameworks (TestNG, Selenium).
• Hands-on with LLMs and AI application development.
• Banking/fintech experience is a plus.
• Fluent English; French is an asset.

About the Role

We are looking for aSoftware Engineerwho combines strong software engineering skills with a product mindset to build powered solutions for our customers and employee.

You will design, develop, and deploy AI-native and non-AI-native applications, owning the full lifecycle from backend services and model integration to user experience and performance monitoring. Working closely with Product Owner, Product Strategy and Sales Business teams, you will help transform our legacy solutions through practical and reliable inhouse AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AI and non-AI generated-code applications using coding agents such as ClaudeCode
• Collaborate across all stages of software development, from ideation to deployment, working closely with diverse teams
• Contribute significantly to the technical choices, conduct code reviews and perform testing
• Ensure high standards of code quality and continuously improve best practices
• Work closely with product owners to architect qualitative solutions and to enhance product functionality & user experience.
• Provide support on the applications maintained by the team to guarantee client's satisfaction
• Participate in or drive complex projects with minimal oversight, delivering features iteratively
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and governance requirements expected in a regulated financial environment.

Your skills set :

• Experience developing production-grade software applications.
• Strong programming skills in Java and modern software development frameworks.
• Knowledge of scalable software architectures including microservices, APIs (REST, GraphQL), container deployments (Docker, Kubernetes), and messaging systems (RabbitMQ)
• Knowledge of source control system such as Git
• Knowledge of Linux, Docker, Jenkins, Tomcat and Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis)
• Knowledge of test-driven development: Jbehave, TestNG, selenium, etc.
• Familiar or willing to work with event-driven architectures
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI application development through spec driven development is strongly recommended.
• Strong problem-solving skills and product-oriented thinking.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or fintech is a plus.
• Fluent in English, French is an asset.
