Job summary

Scalera, an ETH Zurich spin-off, builds AI for the European construction industry. Join as a mixed product-manager/engineer, spending real time with customers to define problems and shape solutions. You’ll work in Zürich, with four days in the office and Fridays remote, building a product that touches tenders, catalogs and procurement data.

Stack is Go and Python (FastAPI), PostgreSQL and cloud services. You’ll own features end-to-end, from problem framing to production rollout, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Experience building backend services in Go or Python.
• Comfort working directly with customers to define problems.
• Strong data modeling and API design skills.
• Ability to ship production-grade features in a startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Spend real time with customers. Join calls and site visits to understand problems firsthand.
• Shape what to build by turning customer feedback into a scope and plan.
• Build backend services in Go and Python to turn tenders and purchase orders into usable data.
• Ship features quickly, observe usage, and iterate based on feedback.
• Own production issues and fix them when they occur at customers.
• Build with AI and design systems that can be used by agents and people.
