Key Responsibilities :Support the review and assessment of investment opportunities within the metals and mining sectorBuild, maintain and review detailed financial models to evaluate investment cases, project returns, sensitivities and risksPartner closely with senior traders to analyse and assess strategic and commercial opportunitiesLiaise with external counterparties, advisors and partners to review financial models and conduct transaction-related due diligenceWork alongside technical experts to incorporate operational, project and market assumptions into financial analysisCoordinate internal workstreams across Structured Finance, Credit and Risk teams to support transaction evaluation and approval processesPrepare high-quality investment memoranda, presentations and decision materials for senior management and internal committeesAssist in the ongoing monitoring of live opportunities and active investments as required
Candidate Profile :2–4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity or a similar investment-focused role, ideally with a strong focus on metals and miningExcellent understanding of financial analysis, valuation and investment review processesOutstanding financial modelling skills with the ability to build and critically assess complex modelsStrong analytical capabilities and high attention to detailExperience in transaction execution, due diligence and preparing investment materials for senior stakeholdersAbility to work effectively across multiple teams and manage several workstreams simultaneouslyCommercially minded, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsFluency in Chinese is highly desirable
