Trasteel Trading Holding SA in Lugano is looking for a skilled engineer to build the trading system behind our intraday power activity, including exchange connectivity, real-time market data ingestion, and the execution and risk tooling the desk relies on.

You will join a small team where your work goes into production quickly and its impact on trading performance is directly visible. The role requires a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field, and strong Rust and Python skills.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s or PhD in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics, data science or a related field.
• Experience building and operating production trading systems, ideally in power or commodities markets.
• Excellent Rust and Python skills.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: testing, CI, version control, code review, observability, and clean design.

Aufgaben

• Design and build mission-critical intraday trading systems: exchange connectivity, market data ingestion, order execution, and risk tooling.
• Operate and harden production systems, monitoring, alerting, and incident response, with a focus on stability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with traders and researchers to turn strategy ideas into reliable, automated execution.
• Continuously improve the trading stack as markets, exchanges, and our strategies evolve.
