Zusammenfassung

TECEZE is seeking an onsite engineer in Zürich to support the end-user device deployment project. You will coordinate with the onsite team and project stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment activities.

You will unpack, prepare, and build Thin Client devices, verify inventory, deploy devices at workstations, and securely wipe legacy hardware using Blancco as required. Maintain CMDB/ISAC records and report progress during handovers.

Jobbeschreibung

The onsite engineer will be responsible for supporting the end-user device deployment project while coordinating with the onsite team and project stakeholders throughout the activity.

The engineer will be required to:

• Report to the site at the scheduled reporting time and complete all required site access formalities.
• Unpack, prepare, and build Thin Client devices for deployment.
• Perform inventory verification of new and legacy IT equipment.
• Validate end-user information during desk-side visits as part of the deployment process.
• Deploy and install Thin Client devices at end-user workstations.
• Disconnect, decommission, and replace existing legacy hardware with new devices where required.
• Perform secure data wiping of legacy devices using the approved Blancco software in accordance with customer instructions.
• Update inventory and asset records accurately in the customer's asset management system (CMDB/ISAC), as instructed.
• Move IT equipment between designated locations and assist with onsite logistics activities.
• Dispose of packaging materials in accordance with site and building management guidelines.
• Capture deployment status, report completed activities, and communicate any outstanding issues during shift handover.
• Prepare legacy devices for collection, including packing and labeling where applicable.
• Coordinate with the onsite lead and remote support team to resolve any deployment-related issues.
• Report damaged, missing, or non-functional equipment immediately.
• Submit daily deployment status and activity reports as required.
• Arrive onsite at the scheduled reporting time.
• Follow all customer site safety, security, and access procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with end users and project stakeholders.
• Complete all deployment activities in accordance with customer standards.
• Accurately update asset and inventory records.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the activity.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed before leaving the site.
• Immediately escalating any technical, logistical, or site-related issues to the project coordinator.
