AG GRAND HOTELS ENGADINERKULM in St. Moritz is seeking an Ice Master/Ice Technician to guard the ice rink and ensure optimal conditions for skating, curling and exclusive events.

You will perform ice preparation, machine operation, and monitor weather and temperatures to adapt schedules, while maintaining safety standards and delivering Kulm-level hospitality to guests during all shifts. This is a full-time role with a commitment to excellence at one of the Alps' historic hotels.

• Language Skills: Fluent English is essential.
• Experience: Proven experience in laying, maintaining, and resurfacing ice surfaces, and routine handling of ice resurfacing machinery.
• Practical Skills: Technical understanding and problem-solving.

As Ice Master/ Ice Technician, you are the guardian of our ice rink. You take full responsibility for ensuring optimal ice conditions for ice skating, curling, and exclusive events.

• Ice Preparation & Maintenance: Professional setup, daily care, and maintenance of the ice rink to meet the highest quality standards.


• Machinery Operation: Safe operation, maintenance, and manoeuvring of ice resurfacing machines and specialised equipment.


• Weather Management: Continuous monitoring of weather and temperature conditions, alongside flexible adaptation of preparation times.


• Safety & Order: Adherence to all safety standards on the ice rink and proper care of associated equipment

This is you

• Language Skills: Fluent English is an absolute must-have. Additional languages are a Plus.


• Experience: Proven experience in laying, maintaining, and resurfacing ice surfaces (natural or artificial ice), as well as routine handling of ice resurfacing machinery.


• Practical Skills: Technical understanding, a solution-oriented approach, and physical fitness.


• Attitude & Flexibility: High resilience to all weather conditions, self-reliance, and willingness to work weather-dependent hours (early and late shifts).


• Hospitality: Friendly, courteous demeanour reflecting the Kulm service culture.
