Amazon Data Services Switzerland GmbH in Switzerland is seeking a Field Engineer to provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. The role combines field work with office collaboration, requiring strong engineering judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects across regions.

You will work with Operations, Design, and Construction teams to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure for AWS

Qualifikationen

• Business-level fluency in written and spoken English.
• Willing to travel between Data Center sites, and internationally if required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with mission critical facilities engineering.

Aufgaben

• Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
• Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation.
• Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training and procedure reviews.
• Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions.
• Interface with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, EH&S teams.
• Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple regions.
• Initiate and lead engineering audits including on-site visits; produce risk reports.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects; support turnover.
