Job summary

Try&Hire is seeking a senior professional to drive the technical, environmental and regulatory development of hydropower projects across Europe, from early evaluation through commissioning.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage studies and external consultants, and ensure budgets, schedules and risk controls are in place.

The role is hybrid in Lausanne with ~10% travel and potential for a permanent position after a successful assignment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years' experience in technical development or delivery of hydropower/energy infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of technical, environmental and regulatory aspects of hydropower projects.
• Experience managing studies, due diligences and external providers.
• Experience with permitting processes and regulatory frameworks in Europe.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary international teams.
• Excellent command of English and an additional European language.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to European hydropower project developments.
• Coordinate technical, environmental and regulatory due diligences.
• Define and manage engineering, geological, environmental and permitting studies.
• Establish and maintain project budgets, schedules and risk assessments.
• Monitor permitting, grid connection and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate internal teams and external consultants and partners.
• After Final Investment Decision, oversee project execution to commissioning.
