Montanstahl SA in Ticino, Switzerland seeks a senior AI and data architect to own the enterprise data foundation, integrate ERP and cloud services, and drive governance. You will report to C-level and collaborate with IT, ERP specialists, and external partners to deliver high-value AI initiatives.

The role demands hands-on leadership, security-first design, and strong communication across technical and business stakeholders. Hybrid work is offered in Ticino near Lake Lugano.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in enterprise applications architecture, integration or related technical role.
• Strong REST APIs, ETL/ELT, orchestration, monitoring and error handling experience.
• Experience designing, building or operating a data platform in production.
• Solid data governance: quality, ownership, classification, lineage, retention, access, DLP.
• Built LLM apps with real users including retrieval, agentic workflows and evaluation.
• Ability to weigh value vs. feasibility, security, data protection and maintainability.
• Clear communication of complex concepts to technical and business stakeholders.
• Working with high autonomy across departments and partners.
• Fluent Italian and English working proficiency.

Aufgaben

• Define architecture and standards; build AI solutions with IT, ERP and partners.
• Lead secure system integration across ERP, legacy apps, M365 and cloud via APIs/ETL/ELT.
• Drive data governance: quality, ownership, cataloguing, lineage and access control.
• Own AI initiative portfolio end-to-end from prototype to production.
• Serve as technical reference for LLMs (OpenAI, Claude) and manage access.
• Evaluate new AI/data tools for value, feasibility, security and compliance.
• Guide development standards and collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
