This nine‑ to twelve‑month internship offers hands‑on experience with simulations, measurements, and cutting‑edge tools. You will learn from mentors, own meaningful tasks, and contribute to interdisciplinary design decisions while developing skills in Python, Modelica, Dymola, and ABAQUS.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled student (preferably Master) or graduate in physics, mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of simulations in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of mechanics and material strength; ABAQUS or similar FE code advantageous.
• Knowledge of Modelica language and Dymola advantageous.
• Strong programming skills and interest in Python.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative independently.

Aufgaben

• Support development of SF6-free high‑voltage circuit breakers through simulations.
• Perform system simulations of circuit breakers to support design decisions.
• Pre and post processing of simulations models and results.
• Test data analysis and preparation of the simulation input files.
• Use and further develop internally established simulation tools.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary project teams in circuit breaker development.
