Ideal candidates are enrolled students or graduates in physics, mechanical, or electrical engineering with strong Python skills and a passion for engineering tools like Modelica and ABAQUS.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled student (preferably Master) or graduate in physics, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Basic knowledge of simulations related to mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of mechanics and material strength; ABAQUS or similar FE tools is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Modelica language and Dymola is advantageous.
• Strong programming skills and interest in Python.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to collaborate and take initiative independently.

Aufgaben

• Support development of SF6-free high‑voltage circuit breakers through simulations.
• Perform system simulations of circuit breakers to support design decisions.
• Pre- and post-processing of simulation models and results.
• Test data analysis and preparation of simulation input files.
• Use and further develop internally established simulation tools.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams in circuit breaker development.
