Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to own the Health, Safety, and Environment function at the GCB factory in Switzerland. You will lead the local HSE organization, collaborate with leadership, and drive continuous improvement to achieve zero life-changing injuries.

You will ensure compliance with Swiss regulations and Hitachi Energy policies, oversee audits, and mentor a direct report while integrating HSE into daily operations.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in a managerial HSE role within manufacturing/industrial/energy environments.
• Certified HSE professional according to Swiss legislation.
• Strong leadership and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Solid understanding of occupational health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements in industrial settings.
• Hands-on experience developing, implementing, and managing HSE management systems.

Aufgaben

• Lead the HSE function for GCB Switzerland with one direct report.
• Ensure commitment to health, safety, environmental standards, management systems, and legal obligations.
• Partner with leaders to integrate HSE into daily decision-making and processes.
• Communicate HSE initiatives, programs, and best practices across the organization.
• Monitor compliance with Swiss regulations and ISO 14001/45001; drive corrective actions.
• Maintain and continuously improve the HSE Management System and governance processes.
• Lead HSE audits, inspections, and follow-up on actions.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; conduct root-cause analyses and preventive actions.
• Support operations, projects, and modifications with risk assessments and HSE guidance.
• Oversee contractor safety management and risk controls for external providers.
• Lead HSE reviews and KPI reporting for management insights.
• Promote safety culture through training, campaigns, and leadership involvement.
• Collaborate with local/global HSE networks to standardize practices.
