Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks an experienced HSE Manager for the Generator Circuit Breaker (GCB) factory in Switzerland. You will own the Health, Safety and Environment function, leading a small local team and acting as advisor to leadership and operations.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage audits and investigations, and ensure alignment with Swiss regulations and ISO standards, aiming for zero life-changing injuries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a managerial HSE role within manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Certified HSE professional according to Swiss legislation.
• Strong leadership with experience influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Solid knowledge of occupational health, safety, environment, and sustainability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the local HSE organization, including one direct report.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss regulations, Hitachi Energy policies, and ISO 14001/45001.
• Integrate HSE into daily decisions and business processes with leadership.
• Lead HSE audits, inspections, and assure closure of actions.
• Investigate incidents and drive preventive and corrective actions.
• Support factory operations with risk assessments and HSE guidance.
• Oversee contractor safety management and risk controls on site.
• Monitor KPIs and provide meaningful HSE performance insights.
