Job summary

Pictet Group is seeking a senior advisor in Geneva to join the Hedge Funds Customised Solutions team. Based in our Geneva office, you will advise institutional and private clients on multi-manager hedge fund portfolios and tailored investment solutions, translating complex topics into clear recommendations.

You will collaborate with investment teams, manage client relationships, prepare high-quality materials and proposals, and help develop bespoke mandates while ensuring governance and risk

Pictet has high growth ambitions for Pictet Alternative Advisors for the coming years, notably to expand its product offering to include additional asset classes and to further develop its institutional client base. In view of these developments, PAA is looking to grow its multi-manager hedge funds team and is looking for highly motivated and talented individuals to join.

PAA’s Multi-Manager Hedge Funds franchise comprises 13 professionals across fund analysis and client solutions. The franchise manages USD 10 billion in assets.

Your role

Based in our Geneva office, you will join the Hedge Funds Customised Solutions (HFCS) team and act as a trusted advisor to institutional and private clients on multi‑manager hedge fund portfolios and tailored investment solutions. Working closely with investment, portfolio management teams and other stakeholders (bankers, investment specialist, etc) your role will be to:

• Advise institutional and private clients on hedge fund allocations, portfolio construction and customised investment solutions, translating complex investment topics into clear and actionable recommendations;
• Manage and develop client relationships: participate in client meetings and portfolio reviews, and respond to investment, performance, risk and positioning‑related queries;
• Partner with hedge fund research and portfolio management teams to maintain a detailed understanding of underlying managers, strategies, portfolio exposures, liquidity and key risk factors;
• Prepare and deliver high‑quality client materials, investment proposals, portfolio commentaries, review presentations and responses to requests for proposals and due diligence questionnaires;
• Contribute to the design and ongoing development of tailored hedge fund mandates and multi‑manager solutions, taking into account clients’ objectives, constraints and governance requirements;
• Support business development initiatives, including prospect meetings, pitches and follow‑up, in close coordination with relationship managers and other internal stakeholders;
• Monitor market and industry developments and communicate relevant insights on hedge fund strategies, managers and portfolio implications to clients and internal partners;
• Coordinate effectively with investment, legal, compliance, operations and reporting teams to ensure a high standard of client service and timely delivery;
• Contribute actively to team discussions, product development and the continued growth of PAA’s multi‑manager hedge funds franchise.

Your profile

• University degree from a leading university; the CFA designation or another relevant professional qualification would be an advantage.
• Five years of relevant investment experience, preferably gained in hedge fund investing, fund selection, portfolio management, investment advisory or client solutions within an institutional investor, asset manager, private bank, fund of hedge funds or comparable organisation.
• Strong knowledge of hedge fund strategies, portfolio construction, performance drivers, risk considerations and liquidity terms, combined with the ability to communicate these topics clearly to clients.
• Demonstrated client‑facing experience, with excellent relationship management, communication and presentation skills and the confidence to engage with sophisticated institutional and private clients.
• Strong analytical and numerical capabilities, sound investment judgement and an ability to develop clear, well‑supported recommendations.
• Excellent writing skills and attention to detail, with the ability to produce concise, high‑quality client materials under time constraints.
• Genuine interest in financial markets and alternative investments, with an entrepreneurial, collaborative and solutions‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a lean, multidisciplinary team.
• Fluency in English and French is required. Proficiency in any additional language is highly welcome and would be considered an asset.
• The candidate must be residing in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
