Job summary

Sandoz AG in Basel is seeking a Head of Finance for the Generic Platform. You will lead financial strategy, model complex portfolio scenarios, and partner across regions to steer investments in oral solids, injectables and respiratory products.

You will drive forecasting, cost optimization, and profitability initiatives while collaborating with STO, CCO, Development and Global Finance to support country launches and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or similar field; MBA or CPA a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in financial management or controlling in a multinational environment.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Other languages are a plus.
• Financial experience in a local organization, cross functional and international preferred.
• Experience in financial modelling and business case preparation.
• Leadership skills, optimal in matrix organization.
• Previous commercial and/or manufacturing business partnering experience, knowledgeable on portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Co-creates overall Generics strategy and ad-hoc activities to deliver sustainable growth; participates in related decision/operating bodies.
• Develops and delivers business cases: maximizing ROI for molecule additions, BD&L investments and portfolio monitoring.
• Acts as BD&L finance partner; ensures compliance with financial commitments and profitability improvements.
• Provides transparency of financial implications of 3-year regional demand planning; drives resource allocation across regions.
• Develops measures to improve COGS and reviews cost roadmaps for profitability.
• Supports pre-launch reviews and global launch decision processes with country forecasts.
• Leads Generics financial performance monitoring and supports budgets and strategic planning.
• Acts as trusted finance partner to STO, CCO, Development, Global Finance and regional leadership.
