Job summary

IonQ, ID Quantique (IDQ)–part of IonQ, seeks a Senior Manager to lead the cryptographic engineering team in Geneva, Switzerland. You will manage 8+ engineers across cryptography, hardware, firmware, and security, driving delivery and technical direction for quantum-safe product lines.

The role emphasizes recruitment, coaching, budget ownership, and coordinating with executives, HR, and customers to ensure high-quality security hardware solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required.
• At least ten years in development of complex hardware or security products; five+ years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, develop and retain a team of engineers across cryptography, hardware, software, verification, QA and security disciplines.
• Own programme execution end to end: planning, risks, budget ownership/management, processes and executive reporting.
• Implement engineering processes, lab operations, and coordinate with HR, product management, certification bodies, IP vendors and customers.
