Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an Executive Director, Product, Data & AI Enablement for GDO, a senior role within Transformation & Innovation. You will translate strategy into AI-first product development, data, and analytics capabilities across GDO verticals, leading a globally distributed team and driving measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Digital, Pharmacy, or Business preferred (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD, MBA, MS), or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with a broad range of R&D, drug development, and leadership experience; leading global product, data, or analytics organizations
• Demonstrated executive presence with the ability to influence, negotiate, and align senior leaders across functions in a complex, highly matrixed environment
• Deep experience in digital product development, data and analytical strategy, execution, and enterprise planning; proven ability to build and scale a product-oriented organization and to translate strategy into operating rhythms, governance, and measurable outcomes
• Proven track record of leading and enabling high-performing, globally distributed teams (US, Europe, India) through matrixed influence, change leadership, and organizational transformation
• Highly effective in ambiguous environments; able to bring structure to complex, vaguely defined problems and drive pragmatic, scalable solutions with speed and sound judgment
• Proactive, organized, and a visible champion of inclusion, belonging, and ethical leadership
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong change and stakeholder management capabilities; able to communicate with impact to executive and senior leadership audiences and internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Owns the product strategy, roadmap, and value realization across the GDO verticals.
• Leads the identification, prioritization, validation, and lifecycle management of Agentic AI and advanced analytics use cases within GDO.
• Owns the data and product innovation agenda for GDO, converting unmet business needs and user insights into scalable, user-centered digital products and services.
• Leads the global pool of product developers and analysts across the US, Europe, and India, deployed under the Product Leads.
• Partners with cross functional Development teams and senior business stakeholders to establish and steward a responsible AI governance framework.
