• 5+ years in software engineering, digital transformation, enterprise architecture, data & AI or similar.
• Proven AI initiatives leadership and company-wide technology rollouts.
• Ability to shape tech strategies and convert goals into investment roadmaps.
• Strong knowledge of modern AI (LLMs, RAG, agentic architectures, enterprise platforms) and risks.
• Judgement to compare technologies using technical, business, operational factors.
• Experience designing architectures across platforms with cybersecurity, governance and compliance.
• A aerospace sector background is a plus.

A technology-driven organisation is looking for a Head of AI & Digital Transformation to shape and deliver its artificial intelligence strategy. Your mission is to turn AI into a real, measurable lever for engineering, product development, certification and support. Security, compliance, traceability and long-term sustainability stay at the heart of every step.

What you will do

• Build and keep evolving the company-wide AI vision, strategy and roadmap, working hand in hand with engineering and executive leadership.
• Set up and run an AI governance model that guarantees responsible, secure and compliant use of AI technologies.
• Spot and rank AI use cases across engineering, product development, certification, quality, operations and support, always with clear business value in mind.
• Keep a close watch on emerging technologies such as LLMs, agentic systems and enterprise AI platforms, and advise on which are worth adopting.
• Define architecture principles and selection criteria for AI solutions, and support key decisions on platforms, services and tools.
• Embed AI capabilities into current engineering environments and toolchains without compromising traceability, configuration management or engineering governance.
• Run pilots, proofs of concept and innovation projects, weighing benefits, risks and scalability before any wider rollout.
• Drive adoption across the organisation through training, coaching and awareness programmes, track the regulatory landscape and act as a trusted advisor to management on all AI topics.

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, digital transformation, enterprise architecture, data & AI or a similar field.
• A proven track record leading AI initiatives, transformation programmes, innovation portfolios or company-wide technology rollouts.
• The ability to shape technology strategies and turn business goals into concrete investment and delivery roadmaps.
• Solid knowledge of modern AI (LLMs, RAG, agentic architectures, enterprise AI platforms), with a clear view of their limits and risks.
• Sound judgement when comparing competing technologies. You weigh technical, business, operational and architectural factors to make strategic recommendations.
• Experience designing enterprise architectures that span multiple connected platforms and services, backed by a strong grasp of cybersecurity, data governance, privacy, IP and compliance.
• A background in aerospace sector is a plus
