Job summary

Nord-Lock Group in Switzerland seeks a Project Engineer to design customer-specific bolting solutions and manage technical inquiries from international clients. You will develop preload concepts, review drawings and calculations, and collaborate with Sales, Production, QA and engineering teams to ensure feasible solutions.

You bring a degree in mechanical engineering, hands-on experience in mechanical design and CAD, and fluency in German and English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
• Professional experience in mechanical design, engineering calculations, or the development of technical components.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD systems.
• Good knowledge of relevant engineering standards and technical regulations.
• Very good command of German and English.
• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and enthusiasm for solving technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills combined with a structured and independent working approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and engineer customer-specific bolting and preload solutions
• Provide technical advice and support to our international customers and sales organizations
• Create and review technical drawings, engineering calculations, and documentation
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate laboratory tests
• Contribute to research and development projects aimed at continuously improving our products and solutions
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, Quality Assurance, and international engineering teams
• Provide technical support during customer visits, technical meetings, and presentations
