Job summary

ABB in Switzerland is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer to drive technical activities across international projects in electrification, control, and instrumentation for industrial plants. You will ensure integration of engineering disciplines, compliance with safety and standards, and provide guidance on HV/MV/LV equipment and IEC 61850 engineering.

You will lead design reviews, monitor deliverables, and support claims and changes, while engaging with customers and suppliers to ensure equipment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
12+ years of experience in power systems engineering or as Lead/Senior Project Engineer.
Strong knowledge of power distribution concepts and equipment sizing/specification; HV/MV/LV, IEC 61850 engineering.
Proven leadership, collaboration, and communication skills; willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

Lead technical activities in international projects across the full project lifecycle (electrification, control, instrumentation for industrial plants).
Ensure integration of engineering disciplines and compliant execution per contract specs, safety, and standards; provide guidance on HV/MV/LV equipment and studies.
Contribute to design reviews, monitor deliverables, and support claims and change requests with cost/schedule impact and risk assessments.
Engage with customers and suppliers to ensure equipment meets project requirements and timelines.
