Job summary

ABB Schweiz AG is seeking a Senior Project Lead Engineer in Power Systems in Baden, Switzerland. You will lead international projects across the full lifecycle, focusing on electrification, control, and instrumentation for industrial plants, ensuring integration and compliance with safety and technical standards.

You will guide HV/MV/LV equipment choices, perform electrical studies, and support change requests and claims.

Qualifications

• Lead technical activities in international projects across the full project lifecycle (electrification, control, instrumentation).
• Strong knowledge of power distribution concepts and equipment sizing/specification.
• Experience with electrical network analysis and simulation (load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, harmonic analysis).
• HV/MV/LV equipment, digital protection relays, IEC 61850 engineering experience.
• Proven leadership, collaborative mindset, and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally ~25%.
• Fluent in English; German an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical activities in international projects across full lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Ensure integration of all disciplines and compliance with standards and safety requirements.
• Provide guidance on HV/MV/LV equipment and protection schemes.
• Support design reviews and comments on change requests and claims.
• Engage with customers and suppliers from procurement to delivery.
