ABB Schweiz AG is seeking an experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer for Traction Projects in Switzerland. You will design traction power electronics converters and energy storage systems, lead technical work packages, and collaborate with global teams across engineering, production and R&D.
The role emphasizes responsible ownership, continuous improvement, and strong English communication, with occasional travel as required to support customer projects in rail vehicle drive systems.
Competenze
- A qualified Electrical Engineer with more than 5 years of professional experience in power electronics for customer projects.
- Experience with traction converters and energy storage systems is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project support.
Mansioni
- Advanced Systems Engineering & Testing: design traction power electronics converter and ESS, align with customer needs and standards.
- Technical Leadership: own project work packages and guide peers in core engineering areas.
- Efficient Project Execution: plan, coordinate, and ensure quality, schedule, and deliverables.
- Product Standardization: contribute to evolution of traction product families and integration with ESS.
