Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. seeks a Process Technology & Innovation Lead PAT to define and drive global PAT strategy, including RTRT and APC. You will lead development and deployment of innovative analytical and digital manufacturing technologies across Takeda's network to strengthen process understanding and product quality.

The role spans MSAT, Manufacturing, Quality and Digital functions, ensuring compliant, scalable PAT solutions with measurable value and lifecycle governance.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in a relevant analytical/engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in PAT, process analytics, automation or manufacturing tech in pharma or regulated setting.
• Strong expertise in PAT instrumentation (NIR, Raman, UV, MS) and data analysis.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional tech initiatives and delivering tangible value.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute global PAT strategy and multi-year roadmaps.
• Establish harmonized PAT standards, governance and architectures across sites.
• Lead portfolio covering advanced analytics, process modeling, automation, digital twins, data platforms and AI-enabled insights.
• Industrialize emerging PAT tech from concept to deployment.
• Drive RTRT and APC implementations with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate to build scalable GMP-compliant digital infra and data integration.
• Ensure validation, data integrity, model governance and lifecycle management under GAMP 5.
• Develop partnerships with tech providers and academia to accelerate innovation.
• Monitor KPIs for quality, yield, robustness, and supply reliability.
