Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific/engineering field (Master's or PhD).
• 15+ years in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical manufacturing or MSAT leadership.
• Proven track record delivering technology strategies and large-scale transformations.
• Experience evaluating, industrializing and scaling innovative process technologies, automation, AI-enabled capabilities.
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen with investment/business-case experience.
• Extensive experience leading in global matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; able to present to executives.
• Fluency in English; engagement with external networks and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Define the global process technology and innovation strategy for the assigned modality and translate priorities into a multi-year roadmap.
• Lead the innovation portfolio in process technologies, automation, digital tools and AI applications with clear value realization plans.
• Oversee identification, evaluation, industrialization and scaling of transformative technologies from PoC to GMP deployment.
• Establish a modality technology blueprint and future manufacturing architecture with scalable deployment strategies.
• Drive improvements in robustness, productivity, cost efficiency, sustainability and supply reliability.
• Chair governance boards and oversee roadmaps, portfolio priorities and deployment decisions.
• Build cross-functional innovation networks and strategic partnerships with academia, suppliers and industry groups.
• Advise Global MSAT and GSQ leadership on emerging tech and long-term transformation opportunities.
