Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection AG is seeking a Process Analytical Technology Lead to drive implementation of PAT techniques for process analysis and control, focusing on new AI pipelines from lab to pilot scale and manufacturing. The role collaborates with manufacturing sites and strengthens global PAT capabilities.

The candidate will bring 3–5 years in PAT or related fields, with strong project management, and a broad knowledge of analytical methods in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Academic qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Science, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional PAT experience or closely related field.
• Broad PAT overview with ongoing learning across related areas.
• Understanding of manufacturing environments, analytical techniques and QC.
• Applied knowledge across scientific disciplines relevant to PAT.
• Strong project-management skills to plan, prioritise and deliver.
• Builds partnerships and influences stakeholders at different levels.
• Fluency in English; German is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead local PAT activities and coordinate the local PAT team.
• Define and continuously improve local PAT capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to apply PAT across manufacturing processes.
• Engage with Swiss manufacturing sites as main contact.
• Shape future PAT direction and contribute to global strategy.
• Connect with stakeholders within department, site and wider functions.
