Bata is looking for a Global HR Director to lead an integrated HR mandate across three key pillars:
- Global HR Business Partnering
- HR Operations for our Swiss Headquarters
- Global Compensation & Benefits
Reporting directly to the Chief Human Capital Officer, the Global HR Director will personally lead the HR Business Partnering agenda for assigned global functions, supporting approximately 100 employees across more than 30 countries.
The role will also manage two dedicated resources:
- One responsible for the day-to-day HR operations of our Swiss Headquarters
- One responsible for the operational delivery of Global Compensation & Benefits
The Global HR Director will retain overall accountability for the strategy, governance, quality and effectiveness of all three pillars.
Key responsibilities
Global HR Business Partnering
- Act as a strategic HR partner and trusted adviser to global functional leaders.
- Lead workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, performance management and organisational development.
- Advise leaders on organisation design, employee relations, engagement, retention and team effectiveness.
- Lead recruitment for global and senior functional positions.
- Manage international mobility, promotions, transfers, onboarding and offboarding for the assigned functions.
- Partner with Regional and Country HR teams to ensure effective delivery across markets.
HR Operations – Swiss Headquarters
- Lead and develop the dedicated HQ HR Operations resource.
- Oversee the complete employee lifecycle for approximately 55 employees.
- Ensure compliant and effective payroll, HR administration, employee-insurance and HR policy processes.
- Maintain compliance with Swiss employment law and social security requirements.
- Oversee the HR budget, personnel-cost planning and external HR providers.
- Drive continuous improvement, simplification and automation of HR processes.
Global Compensation & Benefits
- Lead and develop the dedicated Global C&B resource.
- Own the global compensation and benefits strategy, policies and governance framework.
- Lead salary-review, job-grading, benchmarking and incentive processes.
- Advise senior leaders on compensation, promotions, retention proposals and complex pay decisions.
- Oversee the design and governance of global benefit programmes.
- Ensure effective collaboration with Regional and Country HR teams, Finance, Legal, Payroll and external advisers.
Your profile
- At least 10 years of progressive HR experience within an international, matrixed organisation.
- Strong HR Business Partnering experience supporting senior and global functional leaders.
- Proven experience managing HR professionals or specialist resources.
- Solid knowledge of Swiss employment law, payroll and social security.
- Strong understanding of compensation and benefits, including job grading, salary reviews, benchmarking and incentive plans.
- Excellent stakeholder-management, influencing and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and French.
- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
