Job summary

F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG in Basel seeks a seasoned Head of Supply Chain Operations & Logistics to direct end-to-end logistics for drug substance, product, and finished goods.

You will manage global budgets, drive cost-optimisation, and enforce GDP and trade compliance across complex networks. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, advance AI-enabled routing and Track & Trace, and shape the global pharma logistics strategy while liaising with regulators and industry bodies.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in biopharma or life sciences with 10+ years leading global cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar operating budgets and delivering structural cost-optimization programs.
• Deep operational mastery of GDP, international trade compliance, 3PL/4PL partner models, and enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end logistics execution and finished goods planning across internal and external packaging networks.
• Own the global logistics budget and capital allocation, driving margin expansion, operational performance, and enterprise cost optimization through high-value 3PL/4PL partnerships.
• Enforce GDP, trade compliance, customs, and anti-counterfeiting protocols while spearheading risk-mitigation and footprint transformation strategies.
• Own the global Flow of Goods Policy, providing strategic governance over warehouse capacity planning, material flows, and SOP frameworks across site networks.
• Steer the long-term technology architecture and enterprise system integrations, advancing predictive routing, automated documentation, and Track & Trace visibility.
• Represent the enterprise before global regulatory authorities, trade groups, and government agencies to influence logistics policies.
