Job summary

Barry Callebaut, the world’s leading manufacturer of chocolate and cocoa products, seeks a Head of Internal Communications to lead our global internal communications strategy and newsroom, uniting employees around key business priorities.

In Zurich you will advise the Executive Leadership Team, shape executive messaging, manage governance and the editorial calendar, and build a high‑performing team while leveraging data and AI to improve engagement and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or related field.
• Significant experience in internal and corporate communications within a global organization.
• Leadership experience directing communications teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Fluent in English (full professional proficiency).
• Strategic ability to develop transformation-aligned communications strategies.
• Executive communications experience advising senior leaders.
• Editorial and content leadership across channels and formats.
• Experience with intranet, digital channels, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the company’s internal narrative translating strategy into clear messages across regions.
• Lead the global internal newsroom and editorial strategy, governance, and calendar management.
• Advise executives and senior leaders on messaging, storytelling, and leadership communications.
• Develop frameworks and toolkits for leaders to communicate confidently across the org.
• Foster cross-functional partnerships to align messaging globally and across units.
• Drive employee engagement and alignment through strategic communications initiatives.
• Collaborate with External Communications to ensure a cohesive corporate narrative.
• Leverage data and AI to optimize content, personalization, and measurement.
• Lead and develop the Internal Communications team and governance.
