Job summary

Comet Plasma Control Technologies in Flamatt, Switzerland, is seeking a Global Demand Planner to strengthen the S&OP process and ensure alignment between demand and supply for high‑tech plasma components.

You will consolidate inputs, forecast scenarios, and coordinate product transfers while monitoring KPIs and driving improvements in planning processes. Performs on‑site with flexible home office options for suitable tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field with 3–5 years in demand planning.
• Strong analytical skills to validate large datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Experience with SAP and planning systems for inventory and production planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to foster cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent English; German or other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support global S&OP process by consolidating inputs and preparing meetings.
• Contribute to consensus forecasts and demand/supply reconciliation.
• Consolidate customer demand to support allocation decisions.
• Coordinate demand planning for product transfers and ramp‑ups/down.

Global Demand Planner

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

What You Will Do

• Support the global S&OP process by consolidating and validating cross-functional inputs, preparing meetings and following up on agreed actions
• Contribute to consensus forecasts and demand/supply reconciliation, identifying gaps, constraints and risks and supporting mitigation scenarios
• Consolidate customer demand and business priorities to support transparent allocation decisions
• Coordinate demand planning and track progress for product transfers, ramp-ups, ramp-downs, phase-ins and phase-outs
• Monitor forecast accuracy and supply chain KPIs, coordinate corrective actions and help improve and digitalize planning processes

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field, with 3–5 years of experience in Demand Planning, S&OP/IBP, Production Planning or a related function
• Strong analytical skills to validate large datasets, identify inconsistencies and translate KPIs and scenarios into actionable insights
• Good understanding of inventory management, material allocation and product transitions, with experience in SAP and planning systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to foster inclusive, cross-functional collaboration; fluent English, with German or other languages an advantage
• A hands‑on, accountable approach, with the ability to work independently, manage changing priorities and maintain a regular on-site presence in Flamatt, alongside flexible home office options
