Job summary

Comet Group, a Swiss technology company with a 75-year history, seeks a Global Demand Planner for its Plasma Control Technologies division in Flamatt. You will drive S&OP, forecast accuracy and material allocation in a fast-paced high-tech environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in a related field with 3–5 years in demand planning, S&OP/IBP and production planning, plus strong analytics and fluent English (German a plus). On-site presence with some home-office flexibility is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Business Admin or related field.
• 3–5 years in Demand Planning, S&OP/IBP or Production Planning.
• Strong data analytics and KPI interpretation.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Willingness to be on-site in Flamatt with some home-office flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Support global S&OP by consolidating inputs and tracking actions.
• Contribute to forecasts and demand/supply reconciliation; identify gaps.
• Consolidate customer demand to support allocations.
• Coordinate demand planning for product transfers and ramp-ups.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and KPIs; drive process improvements.

Global Demand Planner

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

What you will do:

• Support the global S&OP process by consolidating and validating cross-functional inputs, preparing meetings and following up on agreed actions
• Contribute to consensus forecasts and demand/supply reconciliation, identifying gaps, constraints and risks and supporting mitigation scenarios
• Consolidate customer demand and business priorities to support transparent allocation decisions
• Coordinate demand planning and track progress for product transfers, ramp-ups, ramp-downs, phase-ins and phase-outs
• Monitor forecast accuracy and supply chain KPIs, coordinate corrective actions and help improve and digitalize planning processes

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field, with 3–5 years of experience in Demand Planning, S&OP/IBP, Production Planning or a related function
• Strong analytical skills to validate large datasets, identify inconsistencies and translate KPIs and scenarios into actionable insights
• Good understanding of inventory management, material allocation and product transitions, with experience in SAP and planning systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to foster inclusive, cross-functional collaboration; fluent English, with German or other languages an advantage
• A hands-on, accountable approach, with the ability to work independently, manage changing priorities and maintain a regular on-site presence in Flamatt, alongside flexible home office options
