Job summary

STAEGER PERSONAL PARTNERS is seeking a Group Consolidation and Technical Accounting Analyst based in Zug. The role focuses on preparing group financial statements under IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER, performing consolidation entries, and maintaining reporting structures for an international group.

You will draft technical memos, advise stakeholders on accounting implications of new transactions, collaborate with auditors, and support process improvements and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA/ACCA or Swiss qualification is an advantage.
• 3–4 years of practical experience with Financial Statements preparation, consolidation processes, and reporting under IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER (or comparable standards).
• Hands-on skills in Journal Entries, closing activities, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
• Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex financial data, identify variances, and provide clear explanations and recommendations.
• Experience in group consolidation roles within an international environment; exposure to commodity trading or financial services is a plus.
• Proficiency with ERP and consolidation tools, as well as strong Excel skills; experience with system improvements is beneficial.
• Detail-oriented, structured, and reliable; able to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; German is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements under IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER.
• Perform group consolidation entries and intercompany reconciliations.
• Maintain the consolidation system and reporting structures.
• Research and interpret complex accounting standards; draft technical memos.
• Advise finance stakeholders on accounting implications of new transactions or business models.
• Collaborate with local finance teams, auditors, and cross-functional partners.
• Support internal controls and process improvements; contribute to ad hoc projects such as system enhancements, acquisitions, and policy implementations.
