Job summary

CSL is seeking an Associate Director, Global Clinical Scientist to lead hematology clinical programs within the Clinical Development group. The role involves scientific leadership, study design, regulatory interactions, and collaboration across functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science-related field
• Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) preferred; PMP certification or equivalent
• 8+ years of clinical research experience in biotech/pharma
• Experience leading clinical development strategy and regulatory submissions

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership for hematology clinical programs within the clinical development plan
• Guide safe, efficient, and timely execution of assigned clinical studies with high-quality outputs
• Author/contribute to protocols, eCRFs, ICFs, and study reference manuals aligned with strategy
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate protocols into operational deliverables
• Define medical monitoring and oversight strategies to ensure patient safety and data integrity
• Support external study oversight committees (e.g., steering, data monitoring, adjudication)
• Contribute to the scientific analysis, interpretation of data, and writing of study reports and submissions
• Support development of Clinical Development Plan and IB updates
• Participate in multidisciplinary groups to drive process improvements
