This role acts as the primary catalyst for the company's automation strategy, transforming traditional manufacturing sites into highly integrated manufacturing facilities. A critical mandate of this position is managing the lifecycle and obsolescence planning of all plant-floor automation equipment. By holding a functional (dotted-line) reporting connection to all local Site Automation Heads, this leader will harmonize automation standards globally, streamline cross-site tech transfers for client products, and collaborate seamlessly with global IT/OT and physical engineering teams to bridge the gap between software and steel.**Your Profile:****Key Responsibilities*** Automation Roadmap: Design and drive the global automation roadmap, integrating advanced technologies such as electronic batch records (EBR), plug-and-produce modular systems (Module Type Package - MTP), AI-driven process optimization, and industrial IoT (IIoT).* Cross-Site Tech Transfer Standardization: Create a standardized, recipe-driven automation architecture (ISA-88/ISA-95 standards) that allows swift, seamless transfer of client manufacturing processes from one site to another without rewriting code from scratch.* Risk Mapping & Upgrade Planning: Audit and map the lifecycle state of all global process control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA). Develop a long-term capital replacement roadmap to proactively upgrade obsolete hardware and software before it threatens business continuity.* Capital Project Integration: Partner closely with the *Head of Global Project Delivery and site project teams* during the front-end design (FEL) phase of new expansions to ensure vendor selection and code architecture align perfectly with corporate global automation standards.* The IT/OT Bridge: Collaborate closely with the Global IT organization to ensure seamless vertical integration - connecting plant-floor automation* OT Cyber Security: Partner with OT teams to implement robust OT cyber security frameworks to protect manufacturing network and enhance our manufacturing network.* Leadership: lead from a global perspective the network of local Site Automation Heads.
