Job summary

Pilatus Flugzeugwerke AG is seeking a Flight Physics Engineer to develop and validate flight simulation models for trainer aircraft. You will contribute to flight physics, control loading systems, and integration of models into training devices with complex hardware/software-in-the-loop environments.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or related field, 4+ years in automatic flight control systems, and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering or related field required.
• 4+ years of experience in automatic flight control systems or related areas preferred.
• Experience with C++ and MATLAB/Simulink; knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop environments an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for the simulation of physical and systems of trainer aircraft, including flight models, ground dynamics, atmospheric models, flight control models, control loading, engine and propeller models, and autopilot models.
• Ensure simulation models comply with applicable simulator levels and regulations (EASA, ICAO, FAA) and maintain the QT G.
• Process ground and flight test data with Aircraft Engineering, focusing on flight simulation models development and QTG development.
• Support system engineering tasks: write technical specifications, manage requirements, redact compliance matrices and design documentation.
• Support installation and testing at customer site, potentially requiring international travel and post-sale technical activities.
