Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Zurich is seeking a Project Manager Structural Engineering to lead technical projects in a cross-border environment.

You will manage the lifecycle from sales support to fabrication and on-site installation, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external partners. Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with 3+ years of technical project management experience in steel structures or energy infrastructure, and are proficient in CAD tools and BIM software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
3+ years of technical project management experience in civil engineering.
Experience with GIS projects or substation engineering is a strong advantage.
Proficient in CAD tools (2D/3D AutoCAD); knowledge of Tekla Structures is beneficial.
Familiarity with Eurocodes, EN 1090 and related structural standards.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is advantageous.
Strong communication and collaboration across international teams.
Fluent in English; German or additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage structural engineering projects across lifecycle from sales to installation.
Take technical and commercial responsibility for execution, meeting timelines and costs.
Coordinate with sales, project management, engineering teams and customers.
Interface GIS project engineering with structural engineering for cross-discipline alignment.
Lead activities with teams in Brno, Chennai and external partners.
Oversee procurement and fabrication of steel structures and platforms.
Review deliverables, resolve technical issues, support factories and site teams.
Share lessons learned and drive sustainable improvement in delivery.
