Axpos in Baden, Switzerland, seeks a Senior AI Lead to establish the central AI stream in our Finance Digital Team and drive AI strategy, roadmap and priorities. You will identify high-value GenAI opportunities and translate pain points into scalable cloud-based AI solutions for Finance.

Lead partnerships with IT and vendors, run workshops, and mentor a junior AI colleague in Madrid, shaping reusable methods and standards across Finance.

• Establish and lead the central AI stream within the Finance Digital Team
• Shape the AI vision, roadmap and priorities
• Identify high-value AI opportunities across Finance
• Turn process pain points into scalable, measurable cloud-based AI solutions
• Guide development of AI assistants, knowledge solutions, workflow automations and decision-support tools for Finance
• Serve as senior AI contact for the CFO area
• Connect Finance with Group IT, Microsoft, Databricks, Langdock and Axpos' wider GenAI community
• Run practical workshops and discovery sessions for stakeholders
• Provide direction and mentoring to a junior AI colleague based in Madrid
• Build reusable methods, standards and components across Finance
• Collaborate with colleagues in Baden and Madrid and stakeholders across Axpos' Finance functions

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, Finance or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in AI, GenAI, data, digital transformation, software engineering, machine learning or a closely related area
• Theoretical and hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms
• Ideally Microsoft Azure certifications in cloud development, AI, data analytics or similar
• Strong understanding of the MS 365 ecosystem from the backend point of view
• Demonstrated experience in Agentic AI custom development, evaluation, observability and cost-efficient deployment
• Experience with frameworks like Pydantic AI and Langchain
• Solid skills in Python and SQL
• Confidence working with APIs, data sources, databases and integration patterns
• Databricks experience is ideal
• Fluent English required
• German skills are a nice bonus
