Job summary

Alcon is hiring a Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) to install, service, and upgrade surgical equipment in Switzerland. The role requires close collaboration with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will hold a technical engineering degree, be fluent in German and English, and be willing to travel across Switzerland. A valid driver’s license and autonomous field work are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a technical degree or equivalent engineering training.
• Fluency in German and English is required.
• Residence in the German-speaking part of Switzerland is expected.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across Switzerland.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in field settings.
• Experience servicing complex medical devices or lab/industrial equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously from a home office and in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, preventive maintenance, and upgrades on surgical equipment.
• Provide emergency repairs and retrofit services across assigned territory.
• Manage service contracts to support sales goals where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate schedules, records, and customer communications.
• Coordinate with Sales, Clinical, and internal teams as needed.
• Manage inventory and timely return of parts.
