Job summary

TotalEnergies Gas & Power (TGP) in Geneva seeks a senior trader to develop and execute optimization and trading strategies across short- and long-term horizons, engaging with Operations, Origination, Asset Management and other desks. You will translate market insights into executable strategies and deliver robust portfolio performance in a dynamic market.

The role requires a degree in Engineering or Finance, 7+ years in European power trading, and strong risk-aware, data-driven thinking.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Finance or equivalent study.
• 7+ years experience in European power trading.
• Strong knowledge of asset-backed trading and optimization.
• Power market organisation across European countries; deep experience in 1-2 countries is a plus.
• Experience with physical and financial trading instruments and with risk management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement trading and optimization strategies across short- and long-term horizons.
• Define and execute trading and hedging strategies across power, gas and emissions markets.
• Collaborate with Operations, Origination, Asset Management and other desks to grow the portfolio.
• Translate market insights into executable strategies and drive portfolio performance.
