Zusammenfassung

UNFPA seeks an Emergency Officer for the EPP Secretariat within the GERU, based in Geneva. The role supports planning, rollout, monitoring, knowledge management, and reporting of EPP-related processes during emergencies, coordinating with HQ, RO, and CO teams to ensure policy compliance.

The incumbent will manage the EPP Secretariat functions, assist in preparing preparedness actions, documenting AARs, and providing technical guidance to field offices, with a focus on timely, ethical program

Qualifikationen

• Advanced university degree in International Relations/Development, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian affairs, field operations, emergency preparedness, project management, or advisory services in humanitarian settings.
• Experience coordinating with HQ, regional offices, and country offices for emergency responses.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Atlas/PeopleSoft is an asset.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate EPP emergency responses with HQ, ROs, and COs.
• Support development, refinement, and dissemination of EPP tools, templates, and guidelines.
• Monitor timelines and document knowledge management for AAR outcomes.
• Prepare periodic reports on EPP activation and response activities.
• Support capacity-building training on EPP protocols.
