Zusammenfassung

UNFPA Geneva is seeking an Emergency Officer to support the GERU in planning and implementing the EPP rollout, monitoring, knowledge management, and reporting for activated emergencies.

The role covers coordination across HQ, regional and country offices, preparation of timely actions, and ensuring compliance with EPP policies, with emphasis on preparedness and capacity building.

Fluency in English is required; UN experience is an asset; the environment is dynamic and humanitarian-focused.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced university degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years humanitarian experience and coordination in emergencies.
• Strong writing, communication and reporting skills.
• Knowledge management and data analysis capabilities.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate EPP activations with HQ, ROs and COs and ensure timelines.
• Support development and dissemination of EPP tools, templates, and guidelines.
• Contribute to capacity building and lessons learned for EPP protocols.
• Collect and analyze data from emergency responses to inform planning.
• Support cross-functional integration of emergency response activities.
