UNFPA in Geneva seeks a Communications Specialist within the Humanitarian Response Division (HRD) to advance emergency information management and external communications. Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in International Relations, Communications, Media or Social Sciences.
• 5 years of humanitarian communications experience in international organizations is preferred.
• Photography, videography, social media and storytelling experience is an asset.
• Experience with computers and office software, web-based management systems, social media, multimedia and design tools.
• Experience planning and managing public events is an asset.
• Experience using technology to enhance communication and visibility in humanitarian contexts.
• Excellent English reading/writing and analytical skills.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to UNFPA global humanitarian outreach efforts, coordinating the Global Humanitarian Action Overview and ensuring quality AR/HAO updates.
• Coordinate field stories and pitches with GERT to demonstrate UNFPA's humanitarian work for donor engagement and fundraising.
• Manage consolidation of HRD inputs for annual reports and publications communicating results and progress.
• Collaborate to consolidate information on activities and impact of UNFPA in emergencies for internal/external audiences.
• Contribute inputs to UNFPA social media outreach and visibility efforts in HRD.
• Draft summaries and updates on humanitarian emergencies and UNFPA projects for donors and partners.
• Support HRD-led roundtables, launches and events to promote UNFPA humanitarian work.
• Ensure quality assurance of HRD publications and use of humanitarian templates; manage print/audio-visual materials.
• Represent UNFPA/HRD in external meetings and internal committees.
